RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership
Every year, our club helps select several 11th grade students from the surrounding high schools to attend the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) event for their past and present leadership and service activities.
These young students are given the opportunity to attend an all-expense-paid camp where they are inspired by a diverse group of exceptional speakers, make life-long friends through fellowship activities, and discuss the ethical and social issues of today. The result is that these students return to their schools and communities motivated to take on additional leadership roles and to find additional ways to serve.
What are the benefits?
Connect with leaders in your community and around the world to:
· Discover strategies for becoming a dynamic leader in your school or community
· Learn from community leaders, inspirational speakers, and peer mentors
· Unlock your potential to turn motivation into action
· Have fun and form lasting friendships
Our club sponsors eight students to attend RYLA each year and various club members also volunteer to attend the camp as leaders.
